Last updated: October 27, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how [Company legal name], doing business as Littlebound (“Littlebound,” “we,” “us”), collects, uses and shares personal information when you visit our website, buy a plan or gift, or use our service. Littlebound is built around some of the most personal things you’ll ever share: your voice, your photos and the story of your family. We treat them that way.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Contact and account details: your name, email address, phone number and password.
  • Order details: billing name, shipping address, order history and, for gifts, the recipient’s name and email.
  • Payment details: payments are handled by our payment providers. We receive only limited information, such as the card type and last four digits.
  • Your book content: voice notes, transcripts, written answers, photos and cover choices, and the information inside them, such as your baby’s name, birth date and milestones and details about your family.
  • Communications: messages you send to our support team, survey answers and reviews.

Information collected automatically

  • Device and usage data: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, the site that referred you, and approximate location based on your IP address.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: see Section 6.
  • Messaging data: whether our texts and emails were delivered or opened.

Information from others

If someone buys you a gift, they give us your name and email. We also receive information from payment and fraud-prevention providers and from advertising and analytics partners, for example which ad brought you to our site.

2. How we use your information

  • To provide Littlebound: to create your account, send your weekly questions, transcribe your voice notes, write your chapters, and design, print and ship your book.
  • To support you: to answer questions and send order updates, reminders and service messages.
  • To process payments and prevent fraud.
  • To improve the service: using aggregated usage data to understand what works. We don’t read your stories unless you ask us to, for example when you request help with a chapter, or when we need to keep the service safe or comply with the law.
  • For marketing: to send offers and news if you’ve agreed to receive them, and to measure our advertising.
  • For legal reasons: to comply with the law, enforce our terms and protect our rights and the safety of others.

3. How we use AI

We use artificial intelligence services from third-party providers to transcribe your voice notes and to draft chapters from your answers. These providers process your content on our behalf and under contract, only to return results to us. They are not allowed to use your content to train their models, and we don’t use it to train ours.

We don’t use your voice recordings to identify you, and we don’t create voiceprints. AI drafts are always yours to review and edit before anything is printed.

4. How we share information

We don’t sell your personal information for money. We share it only in these situations:

  • Service providers who help us run Littlebound, such as hosting and storage, AI and transcription, text message and email delivery, printing and shipping partners (who receive your book file and shipping address), payment processors, customer support tools and analytics. They may use your information only to provide services to us.
  • Advertising and analytics partners, through cookies and pixels on our website, as described in Section 5. We never share your stories, voice notes, photos or your baby’s information with them.
  • People you choose, for example when you order extra copies for family or share a preview.
  • Legal and safety reasons, when required by law or to protect rights, property or safety.
  • Business transfers, if Littlebound is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. Your information would remain protected by this policy.

We don’t share your mobile number or your consent to receive texts with third parties for their own marketing.

5. Advertising and analytics

We use cookies, pixels and similar tools from partners such as Google and Meta to understand how people use our site and to show and measure ads for Littlebound. These partners may collect information about your activity on our site, such as pages viewed and purchases made.

Under some US state laws, this may count as “sharing” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, or as “targeted advertising.” You can opt out as described in Section 9, including by turning on Global Privacy Control in your browser, which we treat as a request to opt out.

6. Cookies

Cookies are small files stored in your browser. We use:

  • Essential cookies that keep the site working, such as your cart, login and security settings.
  • Analytics cookies that show us how the site is used, so we can improve it.
  • Advertising cookies that help us show and measure ads for Littlebound.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings and, where available, in our cookie settings. If you block essential cookies, parts of the site may not work.

7. How long we keep information

We keep your account and book content while your account is active, so you can edit your book and order more copies. You can delete individual voice notes, photos or your whole account at any time.

After you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your content within 30 days. Backup copies are deleted within 90 days. We keep order and payment records for as long as tax and accounting laws require, usually 7 years.

8. How we protect your information

We use safeguards such as encryption in transit, access controls and limited staff access to protect your information. No system is completely secure, but we work hard to protect what you trust us with and will notify you if a breach affects you, as required by law.

9. Your choices and rights

  • Your account: you can view, edit, download and delete your content in your account, or ask us to do it for you.
  • Marketing: use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, or reply STOP to any text.
  • Advertising cookies: turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser or email us to opt out of sharing for targeted advertising.

Depending on where you live, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, Oregon and other states, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or get a copy of your personal information, to opt out of its sale, sharing or use for targeted advertising, and to appeal our decision on your request.

To make a request, email hello@sixtysecondchapters.com with the subject “Privacy request.” We’ll verify your identity and respond within the time the law requires, usually 45 days. You can use an authorized agent. If we deny your request, you can appeal by replying to our decision, and if you’re still not satisfied you can contact your state attorney general. We won’t treat you differently for exercising your rights.

10. Notice for California residents

In the past 12 months we collected these categories of personal information: identifiers (such as name, email, phone number and IP address), customer records (such as shipping address), commercial information (such as purchases), internet activity (such as pages viewed), approximate geolocation, and audio and visual information (voice notes and photos). We collect them from you, from your device and from the partners described in Section 1, for the purposes described in Section 2.

We don’t sell personal information for money. We may “share” identifiers and internet activity with advertising partners, and you can opt out as described in Section 9. We don’t use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that would give you the right to limit its use. We don’t share personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing.

11. Children’s privacy

Littlebound is for adults. You must be 18 or older to create an account, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13.

Our service does let parents and guardians tell stories about their own children, including a baby’s name, birth date, photos and milestones. That information is provided by you, belongs to your account and is used only to create your book. You can delete it at any time.

12. Users outside the United States

Littlebound is run from the United States and intended for US customers. If you use it from another country, your information will be processed in the United States.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We’ll post the new version on this page with a new “Last updated” date, and if we make material changes we’ll email you before they take effect.
