1. Who can use Littlebound
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract to buy or use Littlebound. Our service is designed for customers in the United States, and we currently print and ship books to US addresses only.
You’re responsible for the information you give us, including your name, email, phone number and shipping address, and for keeping your account login private. Please tell us right away at hello@sixtysecondchapters.com if you think someone has accessed your account without permission.
2. How Littlebound works
When you buy a plan, you get access to Littlebound for the period shown at checkout. Our standard plan covers 12 months. During that time:
- We send you guided questions, usually one a week, by text message and/or email.
- You answer with a voice note, in writing, or both, and you can add photos.
- We turn your answers into written chapters that you can read, edit and approve in your account.
- When you’re ready, you approve a final preview of the whole book, and we print and ship it.
Your plan includes one printed book. Additional copies can be ordered at an extra cost. Book features such as the maximum number of pages and photos and the available cover styles are described on our website at the time of purchase.
3. AI-written content
Littlebound uses artificial intelligence, including services from third-party providers, to transcribe your voice notes and to turn your answers into written text. AI can make mistakes. It may mishear a name, get a date wrong or phrase something in a way you wouldn’t.
Every chapter is a draft until you approve it. You’re responsible for reviewing your book, including the final print preview, and we print the book exactly as you approve it. We can’t reprint a book for free because of errors that were visible in the preview you approved, but you can order a corrected copy at the regular price.
4. Text messages and email
If you give us your mobile number and opt in, you agree to receive recurring automated text messages from Littlebound with your weekly questions, reminders and updates about your account and orders. Message frequency varies, usually about one question a week plus occasional reminders. Message and data rates may apply.
Reply STOP to stop text messages at any time, or HELP for help. Agreeing to texts is not a condition of purchase, and if you stop them you can still answer your questions in your account. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
We send marketing emails or texts only if you’ve agreed to receive them, and every marketing message includes a way to unsubscribe.
5. Orders, prices and payment
Prices are shown in US dollars and include any discount displayed on the page. Applicable sales tax is added at checkout. Payments are processed by our third-party payment providers. We don’t store your full card number.
We may change our prices for future purchases at any time. A price change never affects an order you’ve already placed. Promotions and discount codes have their own conditions, can’t be combined unless we say so, and have no cash value.
We may refuse or cancel an order if we suspect fraud, or if a price was clearly listed in error. If we cancel an order, we’ll refund what you paid.
6. Plan length, renewal and cancellation
Your checkout page shows how long your plan lasts and whether it renews automatically. If your plan renews, we’ll charge the payment method on file at the start of each renewal period at the price shown to you, and we’ll email you a reminder before the renewal date.
You can turn off renewal at any time in your account or by emailing hello@sixtysecondchapters.com. Turning it off stops future charges, and you keep access until the end of the period you’ve already paid for.
Before your plan ends, we’ll remind you so you can approve and print the chapters you’ve completed or extend your plan.
7. Gifts
Gift purchases are delivered as a digital gift card, sent by email on the date you choose. The recipient activates the gift card to start their plan. Gift cards don’t expire and can’t be exchanged for cash, except where the law requires it. Once a gift card has been activated, it can’t be refunded.
8. Printing, shipping and delivery
We print your book after you approve your final preview. Shipping within the United States is free. Production and delivery times shown on our website are estimates, not guarantees.
Please double-check your shipping address before you approve your book. If a book is returned to us or lost because the address was incorrect, reshipping may cost extra. Ownership and risk of loss pass to you when the carrier delivers your book.
9. Satisfaction guarantee, refunds and replacements
Damaged or misprinted books
If your book arrives damaged, has a printing defect, or doesn’t match the preview you approved, email hello@sixtysecondchapters.com within 30 days of delivery with a photo of the problem. We’ll print and ship a replacement at no cost to you.
Satisfaction guarantee
If you’re not happy with Littlebound, contact us within 30 days of your purchase. We’ll work with you to make it right, and if we can’t, we’ll refund your plan in full, as long as your book hasn’t been printed yet.
Personalized products
Because every book is made just for you, we can’t accept returns of printed books for a change of mind. Approved refunds go back to your original payment method.
10. Your content
You own the stories, voice notes, photos and other materials you send us (“Your Content”), and the text we write from them for your book.
To provide the service, you give us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, copy, transcribe, edit, format, print and ship Your Content, and to share it with the service providers who help us do that, such as our AI, hosting and printing partners. This license ends when you delete Your Content or your account, except for copies we’re required to keep by law, copies already in printed books, and backups that are deleted on a routine schedule.
We won’t use Your Content in our advertising or share it publicly without your separate permission. We don’t use Your Content to train AI models, and our AI providers aren’t allowed to use it to train theirs.
You confirm that you have the right to share Your Content, including photos taken by other people and stories about other people, and that it doesn’t break the law or anyone else’s rights.
11. Acceptable use
Please don’t use Littlebound to:
- upload content that is illegal, sexually explicit or hateful, or that violates someone else’s privacy or intellectual property;
- access other people’s accounts or our systems without permission;
- copy, resell or commercially exploit the service or the books it produces;
- interfere with how the service works, including by using bots or scraping.
We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.
12. Our intellectual property
The Littlebound name and logo, our website, questions, cover designs, page layouts, software and other materials belong to us or our licensors and are protected by law. You may use them only as part of using Littlebound for personal, non-commercial purposes. Your finished book is yours to keep, share with family and reprint for personal use.
13. Disclaimers
We work hard to make every book special, but the service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don’t promise that the service will always be available or error-free, or that AI-written text will be accurate or match your expectations exactly.
Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under consumer protection laws that can’t be waived.
14. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Littlebound won’t be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Some states don’t allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
Littlebound is not a backup service. Please keep your own copies of the photos and recordings that matter to you.
15. Indemnity
You agree to defend and indemnify Littlebound and its team against any claims, losses and costs, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, that arise from Your Content or from your breach of these Terms.
16. Suspension and termination
You can stop using Littlebound and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms, if the law requires it, or if we stop offering the service. If we end the service for any reason other than your breach, we’ll give you reasonable notice and the chance to print your book or receive a prorated refund.
17. Dispute resolution and arbitration
If you have a problem, please email us first at hello@sixtysecondchapters.com. Most issues are solved quickly this way. If we can’t resolve a dispute within 30 days of receiving your written notice, you and Littlebound agree to resolve it through binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, instead of in court. Either of us may instead bring an individual claim in small claims court.
You and Littlebound each waive the right to a jury trial and to take part in a class action or class arbitration. You can opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing us within 30 days of your first purchase with your name and a clear statement that you want to opt out.
These Terms are governed by the Federal Arbitration Act and the laws of the State of [State], without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
18. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We’ll post the new version on this page with a new “Last updated” date, and for material changes we’ll email you before they take effect. Changes don’t apply to disputes that arose before the change. If you keep using Littlebound after the changes take effect, the updated Terms apply.
19. General
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any terms shown at checkout, are the entire agreement between you and Littlebound. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. If we don’t enforce a provision, that isn’t a waiver. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our consent. We may transfer ours as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. We’re not responsible for delays caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
